Process engineer in automation technology (production engineering)

As a process engineer in production or automation technology you are responsible for the smooth running of our plants. You will look after control and instrumentation equipment, electric motors, sensors and actuators, and take care of the upkeep and maintenance of our production facilities. In addition you will draw up health & safety and control plans and implement operational investment projects. If you are a graduate with a first or second degree in electrical or mechanical engineering then you could be just the person we’re looking for!

Group/department leader in process engineering/automation technology

Unleash your leadership potential! As a group or department leader in process engineering or automation technology you will be in charge of a team of production engineers and will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our plants. Together with your team you will design technical facilities and develop maintenance plans and programs, addressing both technical and organizational issues. You should have a Master’s degree or PhD in electrical or mechanical engineering (specializing in automation and control system technology) and at least three years’ professional experience. Production engineer

Do you want to MAKE your mark? As a production engineer with Covestro you will be responsible for the technical upkeep of our production facilities at either of our three sites in North Rhine-Westphalia: Leverkusen, Dormagen or Krefeld-Uerdingen. You will ensure plant safety and reliability and will be involved in drawing up our plant reliability and maintenance strategy. Moreover, you will coordinate all planned maintenance activities, including planning and implementing shut-downs. Your responsibilities will also include initiating and coordinating small to medium-sized investments and maintenance projects. If you have a first or second degree in process, chemical or mechanical engineering specializing in process engineering or heating technology then you could be just the person we’re looking for!

Group/department leader technology

As group or department leader you will keep an eye on everything! You will lead a team of production engineers and are responsible for the technical upkeep of our production facilities. You will also be tasked with designing processing technology and drawing up maintenance plans, addressing both technical and organizational issues. If you have a Master’s degree or PhD in process engineering, or in chemical or mechanical engineering specializing in process engineering or heating technology, and are looking for an exciting new challenge, then you should apply now!

Project engineer for chemical plant projects (global/local)

As a project engineer you will be responsible for carrying out operational investment projects. Working together with an inter-departmental team you will be involved in different projects where you are responsible for process technology design. You’ll be assisting your colleagues at our various sites in the procurement and project management of upgrades and technological improvements, including coordinating and leading the respective project teams. You will draw up and monitor project budgets and timetables, making sure projects are completed on time and within budget. After one or two years you should be able to take charge of your own projects. So this could be your stepping stone to an exciting career in project management! If you have a Master’s degree in process engineering, or in chemical or mechanical engineering specializing in process technology, then you have the right foundation for this fascinating and challenging position.

Project leader for chemical plant projects (global/local)

MAKE your next career move. After just one or two years as a project engineer for chemical plant projects you could be in charge of your own project! As project leader you ensure plant reliability and keep an eye out for opportunities to further optimize our production processes and systems. You draw up maintenance programs and health & safety plans for your area of responsibility and will be responsible for operational investment projects and safeguarding legal compliance. A first or second degree in process engineering, or in chemical or mechanical engineering specializing in process engineering or heating technology, would make an ideal starting point for your career as a project leader.

Construction engineer for chemical plant projects (global/local)

As specialist construction engineer for chemical plant projects you will be responsible for managing operational investment projects. You will oversee all construction phases, from concept development to hand-over and operation. In this you will be liaising closely with the project leader and other disciplines involved. Your tasks will include setting budgets and timetables for engineering projects and installation of equipment, inspecting detailed project designs, coordinating external engineers and contractors and maintaining the project file. If you have a Master’s degree in construction engineering or architecture then we would like to hear from you!

Specialist engineer for process engineering in chemical plant projects (global/local)

As a specialist engineer for process engineering you are responsible for the procurement and management of engineering and installation projects. In this you will be liaising closely with our global and local process control departments. Your projects also overlap with process engineering and measuring and control technology. If you have a degree in electrical engineering or systems and control engineering you have the necessary qualifications to start your career as a specialist engineer with us.

Piping engineer for chemical plant projects (global/local)

Become a specialist piping engineer at Covestro! As a piping engineer for chemical plant projects with us you will be involved in turnaround management, technical procurement or global engineering. With a degree in mechanical engineering and a specialization in production engineering you have the ideal foundation for this position.

Group/department leader in project engineering (global/local)

Project engineering requires a broad mindset and interdisciplinary thinking. As group or department leader you will ensure the reliability of our production facilities, draw up maintenance programs and health & safety management plans and have asset management responsibilities. You’ll safeguard legal compliance, manage operational investments and will be able to contribute your own ideas in change management projects. We are looking for professionals with a Bachelor or Master’s degree in process engineering, chemical or mechanical engineering, with specialism in process engineering or heating technology.
