Your training and study program
The practice-oriented program starts in Leverkusen at the beginning of September with vocational training in business management. Parallel to this, you start a six-semester degree program in Business Administration at the private, officially recognized vocational university (FHDW) in Bergisch Gladbach. Your studies are carried out in small groups, in blocks of lectures that extend over multiple weeks during your working period. During the course of your studies, you’ll gain extensive knowledge in business and economics as well as in soft skills. After two and half years, a qualifying exam will be administered by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Following the successful completion of your studies, you’ll be awarded a bachelor of arts (B.A.) degree.
The program also includes various seminars and training in two foreign languages. Your English skills will be further developed both at the vocational university and in the context of language seminars. And after a period of extensive preparation in Spanish, you’ll also take the internationally recognized DELE exam (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera). Previous knowledge of Spanish is not required.
Possibilities after earning your bachelor degree
Following your bachelor studies, you can expand your knowledge with practical experience and take on new responsibilities with Covestro. If you’re considering advanced studies, you can benefit from our support. Master’s degree programs in Germany and abroad can be completed alongside your work responsibilities; alternatively, there are possibilities for pursuing full-time MBA studies in one of our partner universities in the U.S., Asia or countries in Europe other than Germany.
